Summer seminar


“Basis of a new paradigm for social development, economy and politics”

The purpose of the seminar was to analyze the need of a paradigmatic change in these disciplines that helps to counteract the region’s social cohesion deficit and the value of the principle of fraternity to create these changes in theories and practices of economy, politics and social work.

It took place on February 15-18, 2007 at the little town Mariapolis Lía, located in O Higgins, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.

120 people from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Bolivia and the United States participated, including government officials and private companies’ officers, scholars, students, professionals and social and political organizations’ leaders.

The teaching staff was made up of prestigious national and international professors.
The procedure of work included conferences, videoconferences, panels, experiences and dialogue among participants and with international and national universities’ professors.
