Microcredit in Social Organizations

This 7-week course performed a deep analysis of the microcredit tool from their main characteristics up to the possibility to implement it in a Social Organization.

Syllabus:
Module I – Is it utopian to talk about a world without poverty?
The concept of poverty. The microcredit as an efficient tool to alleviate poverty and promote dignity in individuals
Module II – What we talk about when we talk about Microcredit?
Different microcredit technologies, uses, interest rate, amounts and terms, guarantees, periodicity of payments, granting procedure and follow up, handling of payments in arrears, objective population. The two approaches of Microfinance.
Module III- Microcredit institutions.
The different actors working in Micro credits and their different approaches. Main problems and discussions in relation to Micro credits.
Module IV - An introduction to the Grameen system.
How does the Grameen model of Microcredit work? Fundación Grameen in Argentina (FGA)
Module V – Questions and answers to know if I can run a Microcredit Program.
The key question before commencement. Questions and answers about the aspects of the Institution, the environment and the objective population, the procedure, human resources, financing. The final question before commencing.
