Volunteering in Social Organizations. A theoretical-practical approach
This 6-week course makes a deep analysis of volunteering in Social Organization: from theoretical guidelines up to their everyday practical application.

Module 1: Volunteering in Social Organizations
• What is Volunteering? Where are the volunteers?
• Short history of Volunteering in Latin America
• Prospects and incentives of the actors involved in volunteering
• Potentials and limits of the experiences of volunteers
• The role of freeness in volunteering experiences
• Volunteering: from an utilitarian vision to a relational vision
Module 2: Volunteering at present
• Volunteering in the global, Latin American and Argentinean context
• Development models and the concept of volunteering
• Organizations promoting volunteering
-Organizations in Argentina
-Organizations in Latin America
Module 3: Actors of Volunteering (1st part). A view into volunteering from the standpoint of Social Organizations
• Classification of Social Organizations
• The importance of Institutional Communication
• Volunteering in a Social Organization. A detailed explanation of the procedure to incorporate a volunteer:
-Information and integration
-Planning of tasks
-Procedure of placement and determination of the contract
-Coaching and monitoring
-Systematization of knowledge
-Evaluation
-Farewell meeting and closing of the procedure of volunteering
Module 4: Actors of Volunteering (2nd part). A view into volunteering from the standpoint of volunteers
• The volunteering and individuals
• The incentives of the volunteer
• Values of the volunteer
• Principles and rules that govern the behavior of the volunteer. Ethics code.
• Different types of experiences of volunteers
• The importance of training volunteers
Module 5: Technical and legal tool to implement a Volunteering program in a Social Organization
• Legal framework of volunteering
• Tools that frame the implementation of a volunteering program:
a. Agreements,
