Origins
The project of Fundación Cláritas was established in 2003 amid the economic and political crisis that Argentina was going through during those years, with the subsequent risk of losing Democracy.
For us, such crisis was the expression of a much deeper and fundamental problem that crosses Latin America's history and that is extended today throughout its entire territory. The problem consists in a deep division and fragmentation of Latin-American people generated by old and new problems of inequity, injustice and exclusion. This shows the huge obstacles to build common projects of coexistence and horizons of common direction guiding everybody's effort in the pursuit of more just and fraternal societies.
Therefore, we understood that, over and above particular and immediate answers, our deeper work should be oriented to rebuilding the sense of common good, to reconstructing common horizons that would permit to guide communities towards a future of greater development for all.
Our mission arises from that point, that is: to train actors of the political, economic and social sector who share this view and who are bearers of a culture of change in favor of a more cohesive society. And also our strategy does: to promote training based on fraternity ethics, which is not limited to mere avoidance to commit crimes. We therefore commit ourselves to a change in the rationale of politics, economy and social development that would allow counteracting the prevailing individualistic paradigm and jointly creating scenarios of construction from diversity.
